Summary: Inoo Kei is a young criminal defense attorney, that was framed up and accused to have helped the mafia boss, Yaotome Hikaru. And this had marked the end of her career even before it started but Yabu Kota, a fine young attorney like she is and the prime minister's youngest son, helped her up to defend herself and create her name. She soon found herself in love with Yabu Kota, and their selves in an affair. And the relationship ended in a manner that had let her running out of Yabu's life, with an child that he was ignorant about. And years have passed, she was under Yaotome Hikaru possession because he had saved her child. Things became more complicated as Yaotome Hikaru found out her affair with Yabu Kota years before and he was ready to kill them both.

Chapter 15
She refused offers that would take her out of town and from Ryu. And Yaotome Hikaru kept calling but she returned neither of them.
"I'm planning to buy a warehouse at Sapporo. If you could just take a look at it." she war ready to decline, but was stopped with the thought of how much they would pay her. Besides, the Yamadas had been a great friend of her.
She gave Ryu's nanny a long list of instructions on how to take care of Ryu.
"Yes Inoo-san, you've said that the fourth time. How long will you be gone?" she interrupted and indeed like a speech Kei have repeated everything that was written four times.
"I'll be back tomorrow" she smiled
"Mothers"
Once her plane landed at Sapporo, she had all of her business done before. If only they had a plane back to Tokyo that very same day, she would've gone home.
She checked on Ryu three times since she left, and decided to walk around the town, maybe she can buy clothes or toys for Ryu.
When her hunger struck, she found a fine-dinning restaurant. The receptionist welcomed her and
"Table for one" she said
"I'm sorry madame but-"
"She'd be with me pal" a deep voice came from behind and Kei found herself staring into dark brown orbs.
"No" she took a deep breath and was to leave when Yaotome Hikaru pulled again
"You have to eat at least" he said
All that Kei wanted was to get things over with Yaotome Hikaru. She was growing sick of his unending calls and the boquets of roses every time she won still flooded her office ever since she came back.
"I called once or twice when you were away. Where were you?" Hikaru asked.
"Away." she muttered. Takaki told her that Hikaru called everyday
"And my unreturned calls?" the guy was persistent
"What do you want again?"
"It's about my offer. Still very same. I can give you-"
"No thanks Yaotome-san. I told you I don't want to work with you or any of your friends."
"I was told not to take a no for an answer." and she stood up, ready to leave. But the lights dimmed and a jazzy music started "You can't leave now. The show's about to start. You'll love it here."
And as much as she didn't want to admit, it was true that she enjoyed the show.
There was a certain vitality within Hikaru's aura that Kei found intriguing. She was wary but comfortable around him suddenly. Hikaru took her to a bar before to a casino..people kept coming on their direction. They were bankers, riches, even politicians and celebrities..saying hello to him, trying to touch him, trying to make him aware of their presence. And he wasn't rude in returning the greetings. But he did nothing that could make his companion neglected, not that she wanted the attention or what. He did not say anything that could be taken as an offense either.
Somewhere along the line, she found herself staring at Hikaru's features. He was a bit tanner than her, and his was indeed too firm that it was already scary. On a normal woman's point of view, Kei found Hikaru attractive. And she nearly strangled herself the moment she realized what she was talking about. How could she find a criminal like him attractive? Moreover he was the one who nearly destroyed her..how could she forget that?
When they went to the casino, Hikaru was given chips of hundred thousands. He bet largely and lost heavily, but he didn't seem to mind the lost.
"For luck" Hikaru gave her a chip before shoving towers of it to her. But she merely shoved it back.
She won three hundred thousand by the end of the night and insisted to give it to Hikaru but she was ignored.
They rested at another bar playing jazz music before she was driven back to the hotel.
"I just want to let you know that this had been the best night of my life" she let Hikaru kiss her hand before she got off the car.
His words frightened her.
