my less than exciting weekend....

.... is starting to become more and more the norm.

Highlight of the weekend though... Dad is in town. Always nice to see pops.

Dave and Busters (OMG WHAT A SHOCKER) after work on Friday. Had a couple shots and a drink, then came home and started playing poker... and coughing... violently. I took about 4x the regular dose of Tussin, rinsed it out, and drank the rest, and I STILL couldn't stop hacking long enough to fall asleep until about 4am. :(

I was supposed to get up and go to Dallas so me and Julie could go and sign a lease and get all that stuff settled, but I ended up sleeping pretty late, and then we had dinner Saturday night. I was thinking about going out and stuff, but I got home and couldn't stop with the constant hacking and coughing, so I just played poker until I thought I could fall asleep... then laid in bed and continued to try to force a lung or two out of my throat. Finaly fell asleep around 3ish.

Lunch at Gloria's today for Mary (dad's woman)'s birthday/going away. It was nice. Good food. Got to meet some of her friends. They announced that Mary was leaving mid-March to go to Alaska, and they would be married by the JP shortly after that. *sigh* Can't believe my dad is getting married again. I really can't believe the woman is moving to ALASKA to be with him. I hope it works out. She's a great woman, and her and my dad are really cute together. They're just gonna be SOOOO far away.

*sigh*

Spent the rest of the day playing poker. I only played in one tournament, and I did alright.... 160something out of 2700 isn't too bad. I could have done better, but I started to get bored and played hands I had no buisness being in. I need to work on my patience. If I could be more patient I could be a really good tournament player. The way things are going, in another 3 months, I could start making some real money on poker. Once I get a second job, I'll get a computer, internet, and an account set up just for gambling. Just $25/week or so and I could get my game up to where it needs to be.

Someday I'll be a professional poker player, and I'll use the money I make to fund other things. School. Buisness. College funds for my children. Ferraris. Mansions. Small countries. SOMEDAY.
