What if...Execution?
"You execute her or I'll execute you both."
Those words broke Ianto. Everything he had fought so hard for the last few months had unravelled in the worst way in the span of a few hours.
For a split second Ianto thought that being executed by Jack was the best option, but that was only a fleeting thought and he was not going to give up that easily.
Ianto had already punched Jack once that night and thought he deserved much more. Ianto was not sure how he managed to turn around and knock the gun from Jack's hand and land a few good punches before Jack had him pinned to the ground with a knee in his chest and a hand tightly gripped around his throat.
"Are you going to stop fighting me?" Jack yelled, baring his teeth.
"Never." Ianto gasped as he fought to breathe. "You're the real monster here. Lisa did not chose this, she deserves to be saved."
"There is nothing left to save. The woman you love is gone and nothing is going to bring her back." Jack tried to get Ianto to see what he what he was saying was the truth, but somewhere in his head he knew there was no reasoning with Ianto at this point. However, Jack to to at least try as he stood up and gave Ianto some breathing room.
"No." Ianto cried as he shook his head, refusing to believe Lisa was really gone. There had to be part of her still alive somewhere in the metallic prison.
"Do it!" Jack forced a gun into Ianto's hands.
"Jack, you can't." Gwen protested.
"Don't ask him to do that." Tosh added.
"Okay," Ianto said numbly as all his tears had been spent. "I'll kill the monster." Without any hesitation Ianto pumped the contents of the gun into Jack's chest.
The fight was over and the monster was vanquished, but Ianto did not know that monsters are not always easily defeated and the fight was far from over.
