He's the gay one!
I know that this is extremely random, but has anyone ever noticed that if you are telling someone about John Barrowman people reply "Who?" and then you sigh and say "He's the gay one" and they go "Oh yeah, from Doctor Who."
And don't even get me started about when you talk about Torchwood and you say the name Gareth David-Lloyd and even though you make it quite obvious what is going on they still say "who's that?" Gareth should be better known than he is because he is a great actor, he needs to get into more things.
I'm saying this because I work in a secondary school and today I was talking with the students about what influences TV characters have on our lives, and someone said something about gay characters can be helpful for teenagers who are confused about their sexuality, and someone else said "like John Barrowman" and then we got all the "Who's he?" I'm then standing there explaining who he is and what Torchwood is!
I have a mad life but in the words of good old Capt Jack "I wouldn't change that for the world" (just without the kissing)
