I'm having trouble responding because the language of salvation has never been meaninful for me. I certainly don't believe that receiving any initiation gets me a better deal in the afterlife. (That's what salvation meant in the mysteries in Hellenistic society, and that's what got transferred into Christianity.) I am, however, convinced that living out the consequences of initiation can make deep changes in oneself that may influence future lives, if reincarnation happens ( ... )

Hi,

I am new to the Ogdoadic Tradition and a christian. How can I deal with both Traditions? Do you have any advice for a neophite like me?

That's a tough question to answer in a comment without knowing anything about you.

There is no inherent conflict between the Hermetic tradition and any specific religion. However, the role of the Constellation of the Worshipped in the Ogdoadic Tradition might be more difficult for a Christian who is not comfortable worshiping any other gods. For what it's worth, Denning and Phillips were ordained in a Gnostic Christian tradition.
