Holy crap, what a show!

So this last Friday was Don't Panic 3, and what a freaking night it was! The new Motor is very nice inside, the re-model has done a lot of the space, including Bathrooms!

Dummy opened things up with a great Freeform set in the 2nd room, which is a bit smaller than before, but still decent size, and has the potential to really get things rocking. Caught Terminus and Monkey on stage 1, and they had things going strong. Heavyweight and Bobby did a smooth set of upfront hardcore, and you could tell that the crowd was feeling up for it.

I played after them and I have to say that it was the best set I've gotten to rock in a long time. Not because I did anything particularly well, but because the crowd was just so mental! Kids seemed rammed up to the stage, and responded to the new tracks, something I am always wary of. By the last half of the set things were pretty full on vocal hands up, and i couldn't imagine how much fun it was.

I think the highlight of the set was playing I'll be Waiting at the end, and getting out to the crowd to hear them sing along. In all honesty it felt like a punk rock show, with kids screaming out the words and I got to pass the mic to them!

It's shows like this that gets me energized to keep at my production, and gives me hope that I can continue to do this for a while longer. It's like recharging the batteries!
