Managing your friends list: The Default View filter

Sep 29, 2008 23:59

skylust and I were talking and we picked up on reading one's flist. Pach has a remarkably larger flist than mine, so she has all these filters to sort through the list easily. But often, she doesn't have enough time to filter through everything AND have time to fangirl.

Here's a great way to manage your friends list and have more time for everything (and everyone): Default View.

The Default View is a fantastic way of filtering your flist, because it becomes the actual default filter when you click on your "Friends" page! All you need to do is to create this filter, and then put on all the journals and comms you'd like to automatically see on your flist. :DDD
  • Go to Manage Custom Friends Groups.
  • Click "New".
  • A dialog box will appear, asking you to "Enter the name for the new custom friends group".
  • Type in "Default View". Click "OK".
  • Add friends and communities to the Default View filter.
  • Click "Save Changes".

There! You're all set! ♥ Happy flisting!

(This post is made public so you guys can share it too! I got this from my friend Jess alcarcalime, who also got it from her friends. :D)
