Just to prove that sometimes I do things other than work and read.. Here's a really terrible picture of my recently-completed Koigu socks.




Pattern: Plain stockinette, with short row heels and toes. I just cast on 52 stitches and went. Next time I think I'll do 56.
Yarn: Koigu KPPPM, colour P210
Needles: US 3

These socks are so flawed. The short row heels are full of gaps, despite the fact that I've done them several times before. I guess that's just what happens when you knit socks slowly over the course of like.. six months. But I won't ever be wearing these anywhere other than around my house when it's cold (because of course they're sooo soft, being merino and all), so I love them even with all their problems. <3

My mum is stocking up on sock yarn for me while she's in California. So far she's picked up some Sockotta and .. Tootie Footies? Something like that. I've heard of Sockotta but never seen it in my LYS, so that's cool. And the other one has some sort of fiber in it made from the shells of crawfish (or something along those lines). That should be pretty interesting.
