Apparently not even medieval philosophy can convince me to sit down, not fidget, and read. This is the third break I've taken while trying to do my reading for tomorrow.. And I think I'm on page five of seventeen. o.O
So I figured I'd show off a bit of the socks I'm working on. The only problem is that my gauge is a bit big, so now I'm trying to decide if I want to plow forward with them or rip back and do them over with smaller needles. I think I should be OK if I keep going, though. They're snug enough around my leg, it's just the gusset that worries me.. I don't want them to droop at my ankles or anything. I guess I could always do the gusset and then rip back if I really don't like the way they turn out. Cross your fingers that they turn out fine!
It is awfully tempting to blow off all philosophical reading in favour of continuing sock knitting, but that would be a bad idea. I must be strong.
Also, I have started a Blogger knitblog. Not sure how often I'll update it or if it'll even last, but I'll keep posts there limited to knitting content only (OK, and maybe some books thrown in). You can find me at
Books and Knits.
