Day 16!

Feb 26, 2006 00:40

So. Much. Pain.

Lots of physical labour at B&N today = much pain. Probably not helped by the fact that I came home, took a very short nap, and then spent several hours sitting in one position while knitting. I think that caused my muscles to stiffen up or something, which made the pain worse. Oh, well. Overall, first day of work in and of itself was not terrible, and two of the guys (I think their names were Michael and Jordan) and I should have won a prize for our awesome arrangement of two of the bargain shelf units. That was almost equivalent to new-hire hazing.

But. This post is supposed to be about my sweater! One good thing about Endymion being cancelled today (other than not having to worry about rushing Uptown to find a place to stand) was that I got to knit some more! Not much more, though, I think I'm only 7.5-8 inches into my second sleeve. I'll probably finish the actual knitting in time, but I'll have to sacrifice either the seaming or the blocking. No seaming = not being able to see the entire product by the time the Olympics end, but no blocking = sweater may not fit properly. I don't think I can seam and then block, either. Well, technically I guess I could, but I don't know how effective it would be. =/ This is hard!

No picture now, perhaps I'll come back later and add one.

Oh, and today (Saturday) is day 16 because we started the night of the opening ceremonies.. we actually get 17 days of competition, because we're cool like that.
