Clad in a jade green half-zip sweater for warmth, Ian sat beneath a large tree in the middle of the afternoon. The sun helped warm his skin as the cool wind blew. A book lay open in his lap, but his attention was taken by a few birds flying overhead, his hand shading his eyes from the bright rays. He didn't hear someone approach him.

Marlow was nervous. So nervous and so jittery, she couldn't even stand to be in the Common Room with the rest of her house. Instead, she slipped on a pair of running pants, zippered up her warmest track jacket and laced up her trainers. If anything would help, it would be going for a run. It always calmed her down some.

She had been running along the shore of the lake when she saw a very familiar green figure out of the corner of her eye. She bit her bottom lip cautiously as she bent down to fix a shoe lace. It certainly looked like him alright.

She couldn't help but stare, although she was particularly close to him.

Ian got that distinct feeling of knowing when someone's staring. He lowered his head and looked around, resting his eyes on a girl knelt down not too far from him.

"A photo might last longer" he said with a bit of irritation in his voice.

Scottish. Nope, not him. She heaved a sigh as she rose to her feet. She moved a few steps closer toward the boy and offered him an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were.." she looked down at the boy, not knowing his name. "I thought you were someone I used to be close with."

"Understandable enough," he said simply, glancing back down at his book.

After a small pause, he spoke again. "My name's Ian, for future reference."
