Never Did Run Smooth, Ch. 18

Violent chapter is violent. Just to warn ya. Pretty much two mechs beating the slag out of each other and insulting each other throughout... and no, not in the fun way. (Actually, that might depend on who you are.)

Your reviews terrify and excite me, woman. XD Why you got so many questions? Fine, it helps to flesh out the story anyway.

G1 Megatron was a megalomaniacal warmonger, but he had standards. I'm glad he didn't live to see this.

Then we have Rattrap, who thinks rotten cheese in exchange for signing his life away is a pretty good deal. Standards, what?

Dinobot counts a couple of things Megatron did as betrayal. The only one visible in the show is having Scorponok surprise-blast him over the horizon instead of giving him a chance in honorable combat. That was fucking low.

*Offers Coke* That conversation isn't over. The sequel is even funnier.

Megatron has a point. It doesn't make him right about anything else, or less of a bastard, but he does have a point there. Oh well. He really started the whole thing by deciding Dinobot could be kicked over the fence and still come crawling back. Bad judgment call there.

It's not battlefields that are the problem. Rattrap's agile, smart, and a difficult target to hit, plus he's better armed than any rodent has a right to be. Disaster would find him even if he holed himself up in a bunker underground with a decade's worth of canned food and a lifetime supply of ammo. He's cursed.

Dinobot has heard of subtlety, but he thinks it's a Maximal trick. In any case, he didn't tell Megatron anything. His body language gave him up. Yes, he would suck at poker.

Megatron doesn't get it. Smelly + aggravating + rude + seems to argue with Dinobot every time they're within 500 yards of each other = WHAT'S THE APPEAL? He chalks it up to Dinobot not making any sense, while Dinobot chalks it up to the universe not making any damn sense.

I suspect it has more to do with the inconvenience of having his second in command out of commission for a few days, as well as a twisted sense of irony, than any sense of "Poor precious ant, I shall avenge you!" As much of a special snowflake as Megatron is, though, you never know.
