I got off of work early today, well yesterday now. Brian and I worked on the new beats for our hip-hop projectuntil it was late enough in the day to play real instruments and then we set up in the garage... His neighbor came over yelling "shut the fuck up in there, people are trying to sleep!!!". It was noon so we told him to piss off and call the cops if he wanted us to stop. It went well. Our new songs sound in the vein of Mile Marker or At the Drive In. I've improved so much on guitar lately and I think it's from all of the cross training on piano and violin. ahhhh violin! Jim (our bassist) is still MIA. Lame! we're working on a replacement, at least for the show on the 3rd. We may or may not be ready, but the show must go on.
After that we went and looked at the apartment we're moving into. I'm so excited! It's scary, but definitely a transition I've been anticipating, if anything, hoping for... I can't wait to move out. We somehow agreed that I would get the master bedroom today, It's quite irrelevant though, the only difference is a bigger closet, and a bathroom in the room instead of across the hall. It's all the same to me. I just agreed to it so that way we don't have to worry about it once we move in....
I don't really know what I'm doing on Live Journal.... I feel as if I should write a haiku or something, but I'm not going to. That's lameo!!! I'm still trying to get my head above water with all this computer stuff, so don't take it personally if I don't add you to my friends list just yet. I'm glad that at least through the internet, I can have relationships with close friends regardless of the equation of our distance. I'm so glad that Jeff and I have finally touched base for the first time in months. I've missed him and many more of my friends whom have been hard to track down... Thank you for being there; My TRUE friends. Your affection has kept me strong. It has given me a reason to keep going and has given me something to balance out my neurosis. You guys give me hope! You warm my once cold and thread bare heart...
We went to pick up Thomas from the airport tonight. He is Jenn's friend from California. I woke up in the back seat of an empty car in a cold sweat. They came out with Thomas shortly after. We rocked out to old At the Drive In all the way there, and only listened to the sound of us munching on road trip snacks and light conversation. I like Thomas... He seems like he'll fit right in. we're watching Dark City right now after a warm bowl of madza ball soup. It was delicious! Jenn's a great cook. Carrina's upset about things between her and Megan (what a fugazi!!!), and her relationships with other friends which seems to get more transient with every day... I hope things get better for all of us. I know with our fellowship, we can cope resiliently from any hardship.
