Challenge: June - Thank You & July/August - Independence
The beginning of July brings our June: Anniversary challenge to a close. All challenge entries can be found under our challenge tag. Remember, any and all previous challenges can be used at any time for inspiration. As long as the story has Ian and Nikki as central characters, it's welcome here.
Now, it's time for a new challenge. We're going to do things a little differently this time and open the challenge for two months (especially since I'm 5 days late posting this.) The theme for July & August is: Independence.
Folks here in the United States celebrated Independence Day yesterday and while driving back from visiting friends, I thought this would be a very good theme for us here at ian_nikki.
It's no secret that Ian and Nikki are both fiercely independent. Ian is used to doing his own thing out on the hunt while Nikki has her own way of doing things and she isn't much for taking/following orders.
Was this independence the spark that drew them together - finding in each other a kindred spirit? With such strong wills and deeply seeded desires for freedom, how do Nikki and Ian make a relationship work? How do they find that balance of independence and togetherness? Do they make it work or do they just stop trying?
Whatever the medium, whatever the scenario, if it's Ian & Nikki, general or het or het/slash, fic or videos or art, we want it here. We especially welcome recs in case there are Ian/Nikki writers/fic/videos/art out there that aren't shared here!
