According to the 2008 AIGA Survey... an entry level web designer can expect to make $50,000 annually according to the national average. If I move to Philadelphia, Baltimore or D.C. I can expect to make more. The median salary was $65,000 and salaries maxed-out (on average) at $80,000. Apparently, someone in the North East region working at a company of 100-1000 people can make up to $90,000 a year.
While working in a screen printing shop, I made never made more than $20,000 a year.
I dunno what my point is.. but, I just quit my job as a printer and now I build websites.
