MOST male fashion designers send female models down the runway in next to nothing.

Yesterday, female designer Lidija Kolovrat unveiled her latest collection on male models who were almost completely covered up.

Ms Kolovrat, a Croatian based in Portugal, was showing off her latest Autumn/Winter collection at the Lisbon Fashion Week.

Each outfit featured a bizarre face-covering.

Some models sauntered down the catwalk wearing what looked like ski masks cut crudely from old stockings and scarves.

Others wore more intricate creations made from materials that looked like the camouflage netting found on soldier's helmets.

This is not the first time that Ms Kolovrat has sent models down the catwalk with odd things on their faces.

During the 2005 Lisbon fashion week, she had each of her models stick a paper cutout of a fish on their face as they showed off her designs.
