Sexiest Man Alive or Serious Actor?
That is the question posed in an "Entertainment Weekly" cover story about Matthew McConaughey and his role in "We Are Marshall."
The Dec 22 issue of the entertainment magazine features an interview with the actor as he talks about how the movie helped him connect with his late father.
"I got to know Pop better,” told the magazine about playing former Young Thundering Herd coach Jack Lengyel. “I'm usually the guy who comes in and gets the girl. But this was a father of three with a wife. I'd been looking for that."
The article also talks to the movie’s director McG, who discusses how McConaughey wants to be taken seriously for his acting.
"Matthew wants to push himself to a new level, past what people think he can do," McG said. “He can always flash his million-watt smile and get the point across, but this film requires different moves as an actor.”
