9 Crimes: Irresponsibly responsible

May 21, 2010 10:32

Dean knew the second he'd snapped his cell shut and slid it back into his pants that he'd been left without a choice again. Bobby had sounded nothing short of pissy, the usual 'eejit' labels reserved for him and his brother missing, replaced with harsher words that were worse. The worry was translating clearly down the phoneline, and that just made him feel straight up uncomfortable.

He'd listened because it was Bobby, but outside of that it took him a few hours to sober up enough to realize he had no choice. Cas was missing, no longer holed up in the motel that had become his friend's world. From what the older man could tell, he'd been kicked out, and without anybody teaching the former angel how to be human, it was only a matter of time before Dean knew the guy'd be in trouble.

The Impala, reliable as always, screeched to a halt back outside the motel room, green eyes scanning every little clue as to where the hapless newly born human had stumbled off to, and in the end it was only a few questions and a couple of large dollar bills slid across a sticky counter he got his information. Cas was now homeless and had headed into the city.
