A moment can be captured in a flash. An expression, an event, a time, a place, the weather, people, animals, upon many other things. Each moment a memory. What happens when the moment is captured, but the memory forgotten? The picture lies in a box, in a book, in some cabinet with nothing but a moment. A single moment. One day, you decide to sift through your cabinet. You find the old picture, and the memory comes alive. You can remember that exact moment, what you were thinking, what you were doing, what ever it is, each moment is worth the memory. "A picture tells 1000 words" they always say. Each picture, moment, memory can tell you 1000 things. It can tell you the weather, it can tell you emotions, it can tell your relationships, the things a picture can say are boundless. Pictures can spark emotions. By looking at the picture, it can inspire, it can depress, it can amaze, it can bring you to tears. I'm tired of looking at pictures and just having moments. I'm tired of seeing only moments. I desire memories. I want to look at pictures and remember with such vividness and vivacity that I can go back to that moment and relive it. A moment can be captured in a flash, but a memory cannot be captured, it can only be lived.
