Alexia, do you require any assistance with him?

I should not imagine. I have cleaned his body and arranged him comfortably. It is only a matter of waiting for him to return to life.

He will wake up, won't he?

He should, yes, in twenty-four hours. He hasn't died before, so it shouldn't take much more than that.

I take it you are as well as can be?

Yes. It will not be long.

As can be. I am not so unstable as the preliminary subjects of the tyrant trials, or Burnside for that matter. And I do not intend to make the same choices I did when I first found my brother dead.

Most likely, no.

I was not referring to you accidentally mutating or the like. I am aware that your control over that has grown.

Doctor, I have seen my brother die twice now. Both times I might have saved him, had I been there. I expect you will understand when I say that no, I am not well. Yet, there is nothing to be done about it. He is dead. His body mutilated.

I would like very much to burn this city and all it's inhabitants. Should I have found the body, I suspect I would have, but Krauser gave me time to think. My lab suffered for it, but that is not a great concern.

It appears you are growing up, Alexia.

He will return to you shortly, although he will be missing a memory. Perhaps it is time we began taking an interest in this killer who hunts our own.

I would say rather than I am learning. I may not have the aptitude that children possess, but I am far more capable in that realm than most. When an action proves fruitless, I do not pursue it a second time.

Perhaps. Though if these keys have returned to the board, they have the potential to make the task more difficult. Or easier.

You have progressed no matter which it is.

We could have a city full of murderers if some are forced through or me as a pandering doctor to small children.

I suppose I shall take the compliment, then.

Neither of which are preferable. Perhaps if the populace was fingerprinted, but that seems hardly doable. I read of another string of murders where hearts were taken, but those victims did not seem to be stitched up afterward.

Seven hearts remain to be taken if he or she is truly following the notes on the bulletin board. Our murderer seems to quite like attention, in any case.

We have no assurance that there are any fingerprints left at any of the scenes. Being that we are not part of the Task Force, we have little information. Seeing as how it is winter, the killer might have worn them and such not thought odd.

That they do. Odd. Such can only increase security or the like.

No, we do not. Nevertheless, it would be a useful tool would it not? I believe it is you who were the policeman, Doctor, not I. My education was quite focused. Likely more so than yours.

The confidence is certainly unprecedented when the likes of Mr. Sephiroth and the other SOLDIERs are taken into account. I should not think any of them would be so easily strangled. And I would suppose there is no threat to yourself from the likes of an iron pipe.

You're right. I was.

Alexia, you may really be a genius. Do you have anything in that laboratory of yours capable of duplicating a metal key if I give you an original?

May really? Doctor, if you mean to persuade me to do you favors, you would do well to pay more attention to your words.

You are a genius in the standard way, Alexia. We both know that. I was speaking more in the area of inventive thinking versus scientific rote.

Better.

I should imagine I could. Why?

I may have a way for us to get more information on this matter. Do you remember before how everyone clung to my 'good' self? According to the stories, they took him in and liked him?

I have one of the keys, and I captured my doll-self earlier. If you can replicate Zelda's key, make a tarnished copy so it looks like I went through the door...
