Veterans Day Parade Needs Help

The Veterans Day parade is very pathetic and deserves respect. But, I doubt that will happen, so war veterans will wither in the November cold.

Maybe I'm biased because I half grew up on military bases where the 4th of July blew shit away literally and Veteran's day parades had so much artillery on display that small countries would be scared, plus my dad is a war veteran.

In San Francisco this past Sunday, there was high school marching band and ROTC after another with the occasional somehow military related group and old people in a car and the rare war veteran. I think they were saving the Bush war vets for last, but most people couldn't last that long. Especially when the Humboldt State band that was embarrassing themselves by posing with the high school Freshmen who have yet to find an identity and must gather with the nerds that want to act military but not really join amn stopping to entertain themselves with a strange jig like routine to the Go-Go's We Got The Beat. Plus, they smelled like they hadn't showered in weeks. There were homeless on the sidewalks that smelled fresher.

SF has probably the second best parade in the country, (fuck the Macy's parade and rose bowl thing) the pride parade. Do something about Veterans Day.
