Did you ever play that arcade game where the alligators (or, in a variation that actually makes more sense, moles) pop their heads out of holes and you have to hit them with a mallet before they disappear back into the hole? I think I'm actually feeling more Fiona Apple/Veruca Salt/Tracy Bonham. But the idea is the same.

Hey, speaking of karaoke, would you have any interest in coming out tomorrow night to sing some? I and an ever-rotating collection of friends go to the Spot, in Uptown, most Wednesdays, their karaoke night is good fun. The more the merrier. :-)
