Arg, UPS, you suck.
We've started getting wedding presents, which are being sent to Mike's apartment. For the past couple months we would play this dance with UPS and FedEx: then put a notice on the door that a package delivery was attempted. We say, hmmm, we have a package! Let's sign the notice. Then we put it back on the door and the next day there's a package on the front stoop outside the apartment building. Spiffy. Note that Mike's apartment is in a pretty safe neighborhood and the stoop is not visible from the street.
Well, I guess we've got a new UPS person and this one is crankier than the last one. I signed the UPS slip like normal and put it back on the door. The next day, another UPS post was placed over the last one. "Hmmm," I thought, "Maybe he didn't realize that I had signed the back of the post-it. I'll sign the back of this one. And for good measure, I'll write a note on the front saying to leave the package in front of the building."
And today? No package. Just another notice that this was the final attempt, and our package will be going back to the sender. Grrrrrrr. Angry Shoshanna.
