seriously, what an amazing book. im only half way through Daniel Libeskind's Breaking Ground and already ive learned so much about architecture and the life that lives deep in it. this is simply the autobiography of the man chosen, as master plan architect, to rebuild at ground-zero. his life began rough as he explains it throughout the read, by surviving jewish parents of the holocaust in lodz. its so nice to see how far someone could succeed even from the most harsh childhoods.
i saw brooke today on my way out of class. it was real nice seeing her again. i made the mistake of thinking she was going to fsu, and i was corrected that a friend of hers was telling people she was going to fsu, rather than uf. im glad to hear shes staying one more year. we go back a long way, now that i think of it.
war of the worlds was incredible last night. i love spielberg movies. the guy can afford the most craziest of special effects team. the entire movie was eye candy. i was a little unimpressed when i found out there were "machines" involved, but in the end i agreed with it entirely.
anyways i just finished my first week of class at bcc. ive met a lot of interesting friends. many of which are duel enrollment high school seniors. a great bunch none the less. our instructor, prof. snyder is such a nice lady. she really loves to teach apparently.
ahh, thats enough for now...
