my famous relations
-Richard rogers is my great uncle (creater of The Sound of Music)
-My mom's cousin is the producer of the show HEROES.
-My grandpa was known as the most famous lawyer in seattle for thiry years.
-My other grandpa wrote three best selling novels. One made into a movie with Tony Curtis in it, and one of the others was also made into a movie in which my father was an extra. He also danced with Marilynn Monroe at a party and "wooed" her.
-My grandma is the Executive Producer for American Experience. She made many documentaries for PBS and is very famous in her field, working with Ric and Ken Burns. She happens to be very good friends with Steven Sondheim, Jules Feifer (famous comic maker, whose daughter who we know also is in the movie The Squid and the Whale), and the late Peter Jennings. Her neighbor is a lead in the soap opera All my Children (michael knight). She is bff with the ambassoder for south africa and was asked out by the prez of south africa.
-Growing up, my father and his family shared a house with Jackie Robinson and his family (1st black baseball player..). They were great friends.
--My aunt Sarah has her own publishing company. She has ghost written books for Joe Lieberman, Madeline Albright, Marianne Pearl (husband danny was journalist who was beheaded in middle east). I met her, she is real night. She has had coffee before with brad pitt and jen aniston about making a book she published into a movie. plus MANY MORE but that list is too long.
--My uncle David, who lives in New York, was the owner of the most famous resteraunt in new york. Windows of the World. It was located at the top of the world trade center. luckily, he was not there that day. He has a new resteraunt and hosts parties. My favorite one he hosted was for the cast of Kill Bill. And he has a waiter who is J-Lo's cousin. he was a babe.
--My other uncle David wrote the book "Snow Falling on Cedars" which was a best seller and made into a movie which i was in. he was voted one of people's most 50 beautiful people.
--My mom is not famous but has written a novel and has met MANY famous people including bruce sprinsteen, james brown, mike meyers (she held up his pants for a picture), sam perkins (sonics player), paul newman, dana carvey, jay leno, peter jennings, al frankin ( he actually made my mom cry), mahammad ali, stevie wonder, joyce carol oates, tom hanks (met him on the set of SNL. her friend did hair), John Denver (singer), bill walton (bball player), Danny Kaye (from WHITE CHRISTMAS), al from home improvment, the bad guy in there's something about mary, orson from desperate housewives, and more we cant think of...
--my uncle Andy was an editor for Sports Illustrated and met many famous athletes.
-- my cousin kyle is the editor of the INTERNATIONAL secion in the NY times and is friends with steven dubner, the author of Freakonomics, who i met in cape cod. he hit on my mom.
-- I have met and had dinner with Bill and Hillary Clinton. I have also met toni morrisen (author), michael barishnakof (ballet), itsak perliman (famous violinist), maya angelou, barbara streisand, ethan hawk (actor), sam shepard (actor), barbara kingsolover, liev shriever, the girl from 3rd rock from the sun, ryan seacrest, nigel the producer of american idol, the "marishino, like the cherry" woman from grease, jack sickma, nate mcmillan, shel silverstein.
--gillon met yoko ohno at a movie and randy jackson on the subway.
--my mom's best friend's brother wrote ANGER MANAGEMENT..heh
kyle crichton, my great grandfather, was considered the 6th marx brother, he was their best friend. he was a well known communist writer and was black listed.
My grandpa was a high school football team mate with bobby kennedy. they were rivals. funny..but bobby asked my grandpa to be a speech writer for JFK.
My aunt Sarah has met NUMEROUS famous people. she hung with hillary clinton for many days.
