you know what? i second this. i used to love b/b. and then, they fuck up the storyline, the show and whatever. i had like 2 eps last season i liked, both didnt include b/b. what happened to "you are my partner, i would kill for you- i would even die for you" blah. now they cant even look into each others eyes any more. they had way more chemistry when they were partners, she was smart but "i dont know what this is" and he was the cool cop. i guess they got shot too many times :p
I could not possibly agree with this more. Bones in general, but especially the B/B crap, has devolved into a sad shadow of what it used to be. What happened to the awesomeness of episodes like "Aliens in a Spaceship"? Where did all the subtle subtext go? I know this is probably irrational but I can't help but see a correlation between the decline in quality and the increase in David Boreanaz's power behind the scenes. The more he has been allowed to control the creative direction, the worse it has gotten. It makes me sad that I can no longer enjoy this show.
yeah. i have this on dvds, and i got season 4 as a present but i havent even touched it. i dont know if i will watch the new season- well, maybe i will but its not high on my to do list. but there is hope. last season, with greys and house, i almost stopped watching both cause they were messed up and i didnt really care any more, and both turned out well and surprised me. it would be sad it bones would keep going as it is. hopefully the characters will find their old ego back. we can dump the relationship stuff if thats needed. i dont care. it would have been nice and started nice, but turned into the biggest crap so... meh.
