This is officially my first entry in more than three months. What is there to report?
Let's discuss. No, wait. I don't have that kind of time. Let's outline.
-boot camp, boot camp, more boot camp, oh yeah - and boot camp.
-nonstop flight to charleston, where i was picked up within three minutes of arrival by a conspicuously white government van. creepy white vans are now my main source of transportation.
-Nuclear-Field "A" School began last week for me, and so far... it's ing intense. one week, one exam, and a 3.05 to show for my lack of study habits.
im a little disappointed with myself. in fact, im very disappointed in myself. but i have another, bigger test this coming monday, and with planning, that can be a relatively painless move in the right direction. what i refuse to do, however, is to fall into the overstressed, overtired masses of similarly smart people here who just cant figure out how to use their time. it's an adjustment. but all is well.
other than that, i get paid tomorrow... so i guess i owe all my friends who actually pay taxes a big thank you for providing something around 1/300th of my salary. hurray taxes.
oh! i have no idea what im going to do for thanksgivings. i cant go outside of a 75 mile radius from base, nor can i wear civilian clothes, nor can i drive, nor is there anyone around here whom i know to sit and dine with on that fine evening, outside of my friends in school with me. meaning, no family, no old friends, and certainly no bottle of wine. oh well.
time for me to go study for four hours. later, kids.
