"I'm finding my way back to sanity, again..."
All right so... I guess I can give you the run down of what's been going on with me...
Um... I don't even know... OH YEAH!
After the fun stuff that happened over the weekend, auditions.
That's really all there is to update you people about.
So, yesterday, I went to Brooke Point for those "GOSH DARN" (that right there is for Mol, so she doesn't get mad at my... OTHER... usual phrase) auditions. So, anyways, I got behind Tim because he was my "victim" for this year's auditions. I was number 25, that's not the important information though.
Basically, I was supposed to get 30 minutes, but didn't, oh well. Did REALLY awesome in scales out of 20 points I got 19. Kick ass. Chromatic was slightly worse... out of 20, I got 16.
Ah, now the stupid ass sight-reading. I've never fucked up more in those things than I did yesterday. I won't whine about it... but the score all the same was 46 out of 60.
Nonetheless that wasn't good enough for me to beat out ANY of those people... I got 10th chair. Suck, for me anyway. After getting 4th chair last year, it was expected of me to do BETTER, but no less... uh... kids... 10th chair is fucking bad compared to the SINGLE DIGIT 4... ah, well, can't have everything your way, right?
Yeah, yeah, at least I made it. Even if it WAS only 2 chairs away from the LAST fucking chair. I'm slightly angry with myself for those auditions. I don't think a certain person was too happy with my audition either because, like I said already, it was expected of me to do no worse than 4th.
Whatever, it's done, and I can't go back and change my damn audition as much as I kick myself for the fuck ups now.
Saturday is a new and different day, and I will be DAMNED if I let myself get anything lower than 7th chair... for the SYMPHONIC band... I REFUSE to be in the concert band. Absolutely REFUSE.
I will NOT do worse than last year. I want to be able to audition for State, and if I can do that, then GREAT. If not, I'll bust a cap in some people's asses.
