Summary: The night before they try the ritual to get Dean out of hell, nightmares and nervous energy drive Sam out of bed and into action. Drabble, set in the Starting Over ’verse. This is a condensed missing scene from The Cost.

The night before they try the ritual to get Dean out of hell, nightmares and nervous energy drive Sam out of bed and into action.
He sends Dean’s few remaining clothes through the laundry, folds them, and sets them on Dean’s bed, then makes a grocery run.
When he returns, he leaves the coffee on the kitchen table, slides the beer into Bobby’s fridge, places the razor, toothbrush, and comb on the bathroom counter, and lays the M&Ms on Dean’s pillow.
Nothing left to do, Sam lies down and nods to himself. He’s ready.
All he needs now, is Dean.
