I'm actually a very happy and optimistic person and I really, really genuinely LIKE and ENJOY so many things. All the shit I talk... I hardly ever mean it. I just say it because it's funny

I've been reading Cloud Atlas pretty much nonstop yesterday and today, because it's a very good book and I am amazed by it.

Cloud Atlas is terrific.

Have you read his other books -- Ghostwritten or Number9Dream? Those are very good too.

Also, if you like David Mitchell, you might like Haruki Murakami's Kafka On the Shore or The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.
