(no subject)
three update-worthy items:
1.1) so i've officially completed four weeks of grad school. some days i like it...A LOT. other days i want to crawl into a hole and die. so on average that makes it WAY better than undergrad in every way. i need to submit in the next couple weeks my academic plan (basically every sniffle and/or sneeze i plan on making during the next two years)...which means i'm being forced to make concrete the direction i'm gonna take with this program.
1.2) the housemate situation has taken a turn for the tense, recently. the hippie has gotten anal about the kitchen and the new housemate search. it's ridiculous...on both items, but mostly the kitchen thing, especially sense i found a tupperware container in the un-run dishwasher that was covered in about half an inch of mold. who uses tupperware in this house? it would be pointless to name names. i guess it's good, then, that i see people at school more than i see my own housemates. although, of late the drunken tortellini eating-sessions with ivi have been meaningful.
1.3) soon the fam will be eastcoast-centric. kirsten got a job in asheville, nc (as i think i mentioned before). anyway, she and jeremy move like the first week in october. weird. maybe we'll all actually see each other at the holidays. and because jeremy has family in dc, i'll get to see them definitely more often than i have. besides, i haven't seen kirsten since february when she came to germany.
