One Step Closer!
After much discussion, Adam and I have decided this will be our last season playing ice hockey. Our season's just about halfway finished right now, by the end of October, I'll be 'retired.' I hope it's just temporary though. We will see what life brings. I'd play forever, but we have plans for life, and some of those plans don't exactly go hand in hand with playing hockey. As Adam tells me, life moves on, everything can't always stay the same.
But, my dear husband knows his wifey all too well. You can take PLAYING hockey away from this girl, but you can't take hockey away all together. So, he came up with an awesome solution.
A 10-game ticket plan! Ten games. OMG, I don't think I've EVER been to ten games in a season. Hello Staples Center!!! Our first game is mid-October. Yahoo!!!
I tried to convince him we could even afford to do a half season ticket package. Yes, playing ice hockey x2 is THAT expensive. He was thisclose to agreeing, but then realized that means he would have to do the drive to LA 22 times between October and early April and decided he wasnt quite ready for that much of a commitment. Maybe someday though! I just know our 10-game package is one step closer to my ultimate dream of being a season ticket holder. I so would already be one if the Kings were as close as, say...that other Southern CA hockey team. Alas, I'm a huge traffic hater and I think that drive from south OC to downtown LA would have me pulling out my hair. :o)
