Ugh!!! I totally got used to the holiday closure and I'm so not looking forward to going back to the daily work grind. I like my job, I have a great group of co-workers, and an awesome boss, but I think I like staying home and all that much better! LOL. I'm sure eventually I'd get tired of it, but I think another week off would be nice.
With the time off we:
-did Christmas Eve at my parents
-did our first married couple hristmas morning together
-did Vegas for Christmas dinner with his family (and upgraded our seats to first class for the flight in)
-got to spend time with our nieces and nephew
-spent New Year's Eve with my family (dinner at Lucille's, checked out First Night in downtown Fullerton, and played Bunco)
On my to-do list:
-went to Social Security to change my last name
-went to the DMV to change my drivers license
-did a ton of dry cleaning (not difficult, but something I always put off)
-organized my filing system for our bills in 2009
-put away the Christmas decorations
-we cleaned up the garage and now have a large keep pile and a trash pile
-we cleaned out the attic
-found an awesome pair of jeans, they are super dark, come in a short inseam, and they're not soo low I'd avoid waring them to work
-skated on the Staples Center ice pre-game to the Kings vs. Flyers yesterday
-scored two goals on Staples Center ice AND sat on the Kings bench
-watched the Kings beat the Flyers in a shootout
-went for another laser hair treatment
-picked up DVD's to finally burn people copies of wedding pictures
-finally bought a damn mouse pad
-saw Melanie O before she left for Kansas and looked up flights to go to Puerto Vallarta in March
Hmm...I think that's it.
I really hoped we would sit down and pick the pictures for our wedding album, but we haven't done that yet. We don't have hockey this coming weekend, so maybe then.
The other big thing I wanted to do was get to Ikea and get a bookshelf for our office so we could finally finish set up. Adam says we can do that this weekend. This is dependent on seeing if my brother or Paul can help us, the packaging and shelf itself are too wide to fit in Tiggy.
Once I get my new social security card and drivers license we can go set up a joint account, which should make bill paying a heck of a lot easier.
Now if only I could get to sleep for work tomorrow...I really hate having late hockey games.
