two new interactions
one
we're driving to lynne's parents' house. about thirty min in, juno starts whining.
"are we there yet?? i'm bored, this is such a long drive"
me: "can we put on a podcast or some music? it'll make the time go faster."
juno: "ugh, baba, it doesn't make time go faster, it just makes you THINK it does!"
me: "..." yeah you sure shut me up
two
at bedtime, juno and i read some books, including one about math. i stop reading, and juno spontaneously says:
"one plus one equals two. two plus two equals four. two ones plus two ones equals four.
i love math..."
and then swiftly falls asleep. i can't get over it. it's so humbling and utterly delightful to be a parent. <3
