Went to the doctor today. My GTT showed regular insulin activity etc, so as yet, I'm not diabetic. My internal ultrasound showed no PCOS, but a possible polyp. She's referred me to a gynocologist, which means probably more tests. She took a pap smear today, which I found painful and uncomfortable. I feel bruised inside, not pleasant.
Yesterday Em and I went in town for coffee and to return library books, and we popped into a seond hand bookshoip for a browse. And to my surprise I found a reasonably decent late 1970s paperback of Eve, by Chris Costner Sizemore and her cousin Elen. I'd more or less resigned myself that I wouldn't ever read it without ordering it second hand through Amazon or something, because it's out of print and local libraries don't have it. And I picked up a copy for $2 AU! (That's about $1.40 US.)
I'm currently writing up my thoughts on the book, which I'll post when I finish them.
