karaiiHeadofporridge suggested the clone cannot speak because Hydra surgically removed his vocal cords after the Winter Soldier “malfunctioned” and fatally wounded a lot of their staff due to the sound of the clone’s voice. Either way, he probably uses a combination of ASL and military signing on the field because it is imperative they both remain unseen and unheard.

rayvanfoxBucky Barnes is the wholesome, handsome boy next door, complete with the engineering major and the beloved younger sister (or three).
Steve Rogers is the punk artist loner with an unkindness on his arm and a never-ending fight against the world. His best friend, Natasha, is best left unmentioned, though there are rumors that if you kiss the Black Widow's spider, she'll give you a tattoo for free. But she never said where or what.
They shouldn't work together, until they do.

The soldier does not find the Mission. The soldier finds a tow-headed white child, aged approximately five years, unconscious and naked amid the empty Captain America uniform lying charred and bloody in the middle of what used to be a battleground. The soldier finds an expanse of bruised flesh and stubborn cowlicks that shine through the fog in his head.
The soldier lifts the child up and slings it under one arm before running.

Good_News_EveryoneSoulmates are a rare and cherished thing, a simple touch of hands bringing love that lasts forever. By all the rules of romance, they're meant to wait for each other and to trust in the vagaries of fate to bring them together.
Tony's never been good at waiting, and when he has science on his side, who needs fate?

Meta: How fandom reinterpreted Captain America's politics for the 21st century by the daily dot
Captain America: The First Avenger follows a pretty typical superhero storyline: an underdog character gains superpowers, battles adversity while trying to do the right thing, suffers a loss, and finally defeats the bad guy. Of course, the movie ends with Cap crashing his plane into the ocean and waking up in 21st-century New York , but the lack of a happy ending is the only major departure from the traditional superhero narrative.
The interesting part is how Captain America’s fandom chooses to interpret him not just as a character, but as a symbol.

freshbakedladyBucky's older memories are coming back, sometimes at the cost of more recent ones. What he cannot forget is tearing the wings off Sam Wilson. Too bad Bucky just let Steve talk him into staying with him and Sam. Consumed by guilt, the only thing Bucky knows to do by way of apology is to let Sam hurt him back. Fortunately, Sam has better ideas.

Meta: Untangling Bucky Barnes by
copperbadgeI don’t think it’s exactly a spoiler to say that Bucky will probably have a significant presence in Captain America 2, given that the subhead name of that film is The Winter Soldier. So I thought I would take a minute to talk about how Bucky has interacted with the Captain America narrative since the forties. Partly because the comics tell a significantly different story from the film, which affects the balance of power between the two men, but also because it’s kind of hilarious.
