Dear Diary,
I don't give a damn what anyone says about it: DISHWASHING IS A NOBLE PROFESSION! What would any restaraunt be WITHOUT a dishwasher? Closed, that's what! If this were a sensible world (and I hope I don't have to remind you that it is not), the dishwasher would run the restaraunt. The cooks would do their thing with dignity, the bussers would take command from dishwasher, the servers would answer to the dishwasher and the cooks, down to the very bottom, the managers, who would be little more than task-masters and gophers. The paperwork, being the least arduous of tasks, would be their realm, but without the bullshit priveledge of excess power. Keep the books intact while we keep the plates clean, the food hot, and the customers happy. We'll do the dirty work, you file the taxes.
This is also the way I feel about the U.N.: the poorest, hardest-working countries should have the most say, leaving America at the very bottom spot in terms of influence.
Ah... in a perfect world... but this is not a perfect world, and apparantly only I recognize the nobility of dishwashing.
