I have just gotten back from seeing Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and thought I wold share my initial thoughts with you while they are still fresh in my mind.
I should say that there will be spoilers behind the cut, but if you have seen the trailers, then you will know all you need.
The internet owes poor old Ben Affleck an apology. He was the best thing about the whole movie. His Batman was badass. Henry Cavill was okay as Batman. Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was awesome as well, but she wasn't in the movie all that much. Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor wasn't quite as annoying as the trailers led me to believe he would be. Doomsday still looks like an escapee from The Lord of the Rings.
It takes some time for the movie to actually get down to the fight between Batman and Superman. As a matter of fact, the actual fight only takes up a small part of the movie. Most of the movie concerns Lex Luthor's manipulating things behind the scenes.
The Justice League cameos didn't really add anything to the movie. At least the movie was honest about this being little more than a lead-in to the Justice League movie.
