I've been reading Life Stories by Sir David Attenborough, and thought I'd share why I think he's so awesome.

Sir David Attenborough is one of my television heroes. You can keep you Steve Irwins and the like, Sir David is the best at making nature documentaries. He doesn't need to pounce on an animal to show you why it does the things it does. He just explains the creatures habits calmly and plainly, never patronising his audience. He was traipsing through the undergrowth at an age when other people would have retired. He's eighty-odd now, and even though he doesn't go out in the wild any more, he still has the enthusiasm of a man a fraction of his age.
