I will update about our vacation soon but for right now I NEED to vent! I am sooooo fucking mad at Verizon Wireless I could SCREAM!!! Here's the deal....when I heard Alltel was merging with Verizon, I wanted a bb Tour BAD! I called ahead and they said that my line was eligible for a new phone Oct 2nd, but the merger was one Oct 17th so I just had to wait. FINE. Then, I found out that because I was going to a Verizon plan Myles could take advantage of buy one get one free BB's! Awesome! So while we were in Florida, we went to a Verizon and they had us ALL ready to go with two Tours for $249.99 with a mail in rebate for $100.00. Then, the guy realizes that the merger won't be complete until early AM on 10/19 so we couldn't keep our numbers. I said we would just wait until Monday because those numbers are on our business cards. Yesterday, we were super busy so I stopped at the Verizon store and asked if we could still do the BOGO offer for 249. She said yes. I listed our Curves on Ebay last night and they sold right away. Today, I called local Verizon and told her to get the phones and everything was good to go but it would be $349 and we would get two $100 rebates. I was not impressed but it would still end up getting the extra $100 back. Myles was leaving work to pick up the phones when the local rep calls to say that we don't qualify for the upgrade because we haven't been on a certain rate plan ($89.99 or higher) for 3 months. I was like WHATTT!!! First of all, our bill is nearly $200/month and second of all....NO ONE told us that before and WE SOLD OUR CURVES ALREADY!!!! Ahhhh!!! I was like "umm no! That is NOT okay!" She told me I'd have to call the call center so I did. I asked for a supervisor right away and the guy said he was a senior rep and could help. He said he would make some calls, work it out and get back to me in a short time. That was more than 4 hours and 30 minutes ago. NO callback. I called back, made the person get me a sup, sup hangs UP before I could say more than HELLO. Obviously they have my number so they SHOULD call back. Nope. I called them back and verified AGAIN and the guy got me the same sip and he didn't even say SORRY! He was like "Welcome to Verizon..." I literally LOL'ed and said that it hasn't been a pleasant experience so far!! I re-explained everything. He said he would check with the original girl I spoke with and her sup and call me back in 10 or 15 minutes. That was over an hour ago. I am soooooooo fucking sick of it!!!! I hate them! HELP! I am ready to file a complaint with the FCC and BBB. This is WRONG. :(
