So here it is...
We're moved in ...mostly. Most of our life is in the garage. We still have tons to unpack. The move was ROUGH!!!!! We had our moving truck for 24 hours. Let me tell you..Jim and I wore ourselves out. We also made a million car trips...maybe a million three. We were working all day and going back to the old house to get stuff and clean. I felt really bad about giving the old landlords such short notice, but they were really cool about it. When we did the walkthru, they thanked us profusely for leaving the place so clean. They said it was the cleanest anyone has ever left it. They also only took out $100 for cleaning the carpet which was nice.
We met the neighbors next door. They invited us over for a drink. There was about 8 people there; some of them neighbors. We played cornhole...which sounds really awful, but was pretty fun. Everyone over there was younger than us..or at least me..the old fart-but they said to come over anytime they were out there and seemed to like us. Becca came by too...They called Jim "the beer fairy" for bringing over more when they ran out. Everyone seemed really nice and funny. It was a good time. We'll see. I guess the OLD lady that used to live in this house was really mean. I think they're happy that they now have friendly neighbors. ....We've still got lots of unpacking and work to do. But it's homey and I like it...so....I repeat....
The garage....ew....we started just putting everything in the garage after awhile. Now we get to take it all out. It's ridiculous!!!!
