Dinah knew Jill's methods by now, and walked up a floor. With cake. She poked her head in the door, then smiled. "You're not under your bed! Yay!"

"Too cramped under there," Jill said. "Hi! How's it going?"

"Good! Here, I saved you some cake from Roy's party last night. Have you met him?" Dinah asked, handing it over.

"You saved me part of someone else's cake? You are so the best ever," Jill declared as she took the cake. After one bite, she mumbled, "Oh my God, it's good," then actually chewed and swallowed as she ran down her mental register of Cute Boys. "Roy's not ringing a bell, sorry?"

Dinah grinned, and made herself at home on Jill's bed. "Alfred made it, special. And Roy's tall, redheaded, athletic looking?" Hey, she was all in favor of helping Roy meet more girls. "In some bizarre other universe, and older me is dating his foster dad. But he's very cool anyway."

"Oh, yeah, I've seen him," Jill said. "He's hot. Um. Is it creepy for me to say that?"

Dinah laughed, swinging her legs. "No. He is. Although it's weird for me, 'cause, you know. I remember being his big-sister-type when that whole weekend went weird... you didn't have anything happen then, did you?" She squinted at the TV, finally paying attention. "What the heck are you watching?"

"No, thank God," Jill said. And, "Oh my God, did you watch the figure skating during the Olympics? This is Johnny Weir's reality show. Ramie loves him but I didn't get why until I saw this. He's sparkly and he has no filter between his brain and his mouth and he has the most amazing ass on the planet, I swear."

"I did! I loved it, it was sooooo cool, and hard, I mean, I can barely ice-skate, and those guys were doing it so great, and that one little chick was spinning so fast--" Dinah started laughing. "And okay, you really weren't kidding, were you?" Woo!

"His brain must be a magical place," Jill said wonderingly. "I can't skate at all, I mean, seriously. It doesn't seem like that stuff should be physically possible to me."

Dinah was still snickering, and responded, "Karla's good at it. And I want to be better, but jeeeez, it's like that's they're supernatural gift... or in Johnny's case, one of many."

Jill pointed to the scar on her chin and said, "Last time I went ice skating. Only time I went ice skating. Sports and I do not mix."

Dinah swatted at her arm, then snuck a crumb of cake off the plate. "It's just practice. And not minding getting hurt, kinda." She grinned at Johnny Weir on TV. "Or being superhuman, I guess." She tilted her head consideringly. "Okay, Johnny Weir, or that Stephane guy?"

"According to the tinhats on the internet, neither of us stand a chance and they're dating," Jill said. She considered it. "I'd rather shop with Johnny Weir and make out with Stephane I have no clue how to pronounce his last name, and am probably mangling his first."

"Okay, I could sort of believe that of Johnny... bit I choose to believe that Stephane I'm sure I can't pronounce his name either is just very French." Dinah shook her head. "We have to go shopping after there's no more fog and no more monsters."

"He had a girlfriend once, I read," Jill said. "Stephane. He's Swiss, not French." Also, according to some of the websites, a magical zebra. With wings. "So, maybe? I dunno. But! Yes! We so need to go shopping, ohmigod, I need a prom dress."
