I really want to try to replicate Alister Parker's (The Gordons/Bailter Space) guitar tone. The first Gordons record actually. It is the best jangly post-punk tone I've ever heard. His playing is a big part of it, as well as his floating bridge. He's just bashing all the strings and for a split second after ever stroke, it almost sounds out of tune. Awesome.
I always make 4 cups worth of coffee, though I only drink about half of that after brewing it. I've discovered that it's a good idea to put the remaining coffee in the refrigerator to enjoy later as iced coffee. It's a very good idea.
My family went to the Oakbrook car show on Father's Day. I think I would really like to have some old, huge Studebaker if I had so many dollars. Were I to do this, I'd probably also start styling my hair into a pompadour.
Just watched the making of Mastodon's "Crack the Skye". I wasn't so keen on the record upon first listening, but watching all the behind the scenes shit and all the gear they used has convinced me to give it another shot.
Brendan O'brien miked the tops of the toms with e604's and the bottoms with 57's. He also miked the hi-hat with a 58. Wtf!!
