There is something very therapeutic about cleaning my room. Everything in it's place, clean floor rug, clothes put away, listening to You'd Prefer An Astronaut... It's very soothing.
Today is the 3rd day of tracking The Night Brigade. This has been the most painless recording I've ever done. The dudes are super rad and write great songs and can fucking play. There's not a single weak spot in the band and a ton of the tracks were one-takes. It's turning out to be one of the best recordings I've done.
Guess what guys, the Shure SM57 I modded is my new favorite kick drum mic. You goddamn heard me.
