So.  While I was talking to my boyfriend today, I said something about how I moved to this new place to be close to my grandparents.  And I have not visited them once since I've moved in.  I'm too busy.  They're old so they go to bed early, so by the time I get off of work, they're going to sleep.  He's like, "Well, I think I'm the first to know how busy you are, you don't have time for me half the time."  I think that's more than a little funny considering that I'll be home and he'll be in our roommate's room with a bunch of people while I'm in the kitchen cooking something to eat.  And then the whole time I'm eating it.  And the whole time I'm in the shower.  And the first hour and a half that I'm in bed.  As far as I'm concerned, I have plenty of time for him.  I'm just not number one on his priority list.  Fucking around with his friends talking about cars and video games is number one.

I'm not saying that he shouldn't have that interaction.  It's vital to his sanity.  But it's not like I don't have time for him.  He just doesn't want to make the time when I have time.  So if I only have a four hour block of time in which I'm available each day, plan accordingly.  Any day of the week, it's the same.

Wake up at 6:30 AM, get ready for work.  Leave for work around 7:15 AM if I didn't fall back asleep.  Leave work around 4:00 PMish.  Get to other work around 4:45 PMish.  Call boyfriend to be all, "How's your job going?  Yeah.  Well, time to do a different job for me!  Love ya, bye!"  Work until 9:15 PMish.  Get home around 9:45 PM.  Cook food.  Watch Court TV while boyfriend plays games or works on cars or something.  Bed around 12 AM to repeat it all again.  He can pencil himself in for the Court TV time frame.

But it's kind of funny.  Because I'll ask him if he wants to go out to eat.  Or do something nice.  Nope.  He doesn't want to do anything.  Because he's doesn't like to sit down to eat at a restaurant.  He'd much rather get something in a drive thru and eat it in front of the television.  With me!  So it'd be a date!  Yay.

Sigh.
