I am once again amazed by the people I know who give good lip service to being politically correct - not using hate speech about sexuality, ethnicity, skin color, etc. - as long as it's groups they have some sympathy for. BUT, the moment they start talking about a group they dislike, the amount of vitriol flowing from their lips easily equals that coming from someone they would consider to be not politically correct.
It makes me laugh because these people tend to consider themselves enlightened, intelligent, and certainly not ignorant.
It makes me sad because in most respects they ARE enlightened, intelligent, and not ignorant.
