Or, better yet, always make sure that you're including the units in your equation.
I'm working on a sleeve right now, and was thinking my calculations told me that after every 2.3 inches I should work a decrease. It just felt wrong, and doing the math again, it's really 2.3 decreases/inch. That feels so much more right.
But, damn, what a rookie maneuver. Glad I was going with my gut.
