I've been playing around with blending colors and more of the layering of color/value to see how that works out. Here's some of the results (behind the cut).
I think I showed this butterfly in progress before. I think it is done. (I might go in and add a border or outer color. We'll see.)
This is the start of a study on blending colors. I think it's rather pretty so far, and might be something I want to put up somewhere.
A landscape, working with layering the values. I've still got one more layer to go, which will roughly double the size of the piece.
This is a piece I've just started. I'm taking the sepia photo and am planning to bring much color to it. I've started work on the floor, and am looking forward to getting to the arches. I'm not sure how it's all going to turn out, and it's sort of mangling my brain so far, but I think that the wide variation in value is going to make it all good.
