not coming homeeee
last night amanda spent the night here. we woke up and had english muffins along with some organic strawberry jelly with some french cartoons/french music channel. soooooooo good. tomorrow will be the best morning ever and i will get to that in a second. She left for class at 9:15 to get to class by eleven. I decided to get up and bear the 28 degree weather....ugh. sounds sooooo cold. But its okay. I got out there and it was really actually pretty nice out. I was very pleased. Now. i hope you dont get too jealous of this next paragraph.
This morning after amanda left. sooo perfect. I got up and left the hotel. I realized that it had snowed just a little bit. None of it really stuck except some to the branches of some trees, the roofs of the building and some tops of cars but if you could have seen it....well, it was gorgeous. The reason I left the hotel was to go to the market. The market that i could spend allllllll day at. they have everything there. Meat, bread, fruit, veggies, sweets, french people. Its awesome, they have some prepared food, and obviously they have meat hanging from the ceiling, where they pull it down and cut it up for you. Anyway, about an hour and a half, 15 euro later i made my way back to the hotel with; 2 croissants, 1 pain du chocolate, a demi baguette, a mini loaf of some circle bread. a loaf of some orange and chocolate cake bread thing that looked too good to pass up, some bananas, an apple, some oranges, pears and some carrots.
Oh yeah did i mention the smell? UNFORGETTABLE. As you walk anywhere in the morning your nostrils are bombarded with scent of fresh baked goods, how can anyone be mad in the morning? In addition to that you can randomly see some people drinking a beer walking down the street at 9h. The french take two hour lunch breaks where all the stores are pretty much closed from 13h till about 15h where they all go to cafe's, smoke, eat and drink (wine, beer, and coffee). Soo, my conclusion......I Love France!
Oh yeah, as i mentioned before we had the second best morning you could possibly have in france this morning with english muffins, jam and french cartoons. Well tomorrow will be the best morning. picture this. Saturday morning. croissants with strawberry jam. french cartoons. all while laying in bed with the heat on. Then getting up to go shopping where every store has government mandated sales (anywhere from 20-70% off). Yeah tomorrow is looking like a pretty good day right about now. anywho. im going to go and try to find this stadium that apparently has a soccer game either tonight or tomorrow. I really want to go.
