Trains are Off

Feb 13, 2004 18:13

I got this forwarded to me, and thought I should post it here.

Please be advised that services on all metropolitan lines have been suspended until further notice due to industrial action by members of the Australian Rail, Tram and Bus Industry Union.

Limited rail replacement bus services 707 (Armadale Line), 404 (Joondalup Line), 606 (Fremantle Line) and 505 (Midland Line) will pick up commuters at the red rail replacement stops near train stations while services are suspended. Please note that surfboards and bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses.

The journey will take longer so please allow extra travelling time.

These services will be in demand, particularly during peak periods, so please plan accordingly. Passengers may wish to consider other transport options where possible.

A TravelEasy email will be sent out as soon as services return to normal.

If normal train services have not resumed by Monday morning (16 February 2004), paid for parking will be available at the Governors Avenue end of Langley Park for CBD commuters.

Transperth apologises for this inconvenience.

Regards

TravelEasy Administration
